A Result of Years of International Collaboration
The joint initiative began in 2015, Yanshan University were awarded diplomas,and after years of dedicated effort, it has now culminated in the awarding of double engineering diplomas.
“We are proud of this collaboration with Yanshan University, which is the result of hard, long-term work. Today, we celebrate the success of our joint program and congratulate all the students on their achievements,” said Prof. Dr. Hab. Eng.
Graduation Ceremony and Fields of Study
On Wednesday, June 18th, a formal graduation ceremony was held to honor the newly graduated engineers from the first cohort of this program.
The Chinese students graduated from four key faculties:
- Faculty of Electrical Engineering
- Faculty of Mechanical Engineering
- Faculty of Chemistry
- Faculty of Automatic Control, Electronics, and Computer Science
Each student received a bachelor’s degree diploma from Yanshan University and an engineering diploma from the Silesian University of Technology.
Studying Abroad: New Experiences and Opportunities
After completing their first year of study at Yanshan University, the students continued their education in Poland. For many, Yanshan University were awarded diplomas,this was their first time leaving China, offering them the chance to face new challenges, immerse themselves in a foreign culture, and experience a different educational environment.
“In Poland, I had the chance to discover a completely different approach to studying and living. I noticed many differences, from food to culture. It was both exciting and inspiring,” shared Yumeng Lu, one of the graduates.
“The lecturers in Poland were incredibly patient and always ready to help us. Our tutors from China also supported us throughout the journey. Polish students were very friendly and welcoming,” added Zhengqi Li.
Global Academic and Career Aspirations
Students emphasized that their time in Poland allowed them to broaden their horizons and develop both personally and academically. Yanshan University were awarded diplomas,The knowledge and skills they acquired now enable them to pursue second-cycle studies at prestigious universities worldwide.
“The double diploma gives me more opportunities in the global job market. Some of us plan to return to China to work for international companies. I’ve already applied to two universities in the UK and Australia for my master’s studies,” said Yumeng Lu.
